about me

I’ve been a writer my whole life—interspersing stories alongside JCPenney’s catalog clippings as a six-year-old, weaving elaborate character backstories and personality profiles as a teen, and, now, sharing musings on God and his world in short-form article and microblog format (with a longer book project in the hopper as well).

Professionally, I’m also an editor, passionate about bringing clarity and beauty to pieces so they can shine to their full potential and truly connect with a reader’s heart. I delight in daily stewarding others’ words through my work at Risen Motherhood, as well as occasional freelance opportunities.

My larger roles include being a wife to Adam and mom of two delightful little humans who never fail to surprise me. Together, we call the Pacific Northwest our home, fondly relishing beach walks, mountain views, and bottomless hot bevvies to get us through the rainy season (but TBH, we love it too). We spend our days connecting with church, family, and friends, grateful for this busy little life we lead.

I always love making a new friend, so don’t hesitate to pop in and say hello!

a few favorite things:

  • Matcha lattes (with a splash of rose or lavender flavor when I’m feeling extra fine and fancy)

  • My slow-growing family art collection (featuring Ned Bustard, Loré Pemberton, Caroline Greb, Rebecca Lemmon, and more)

  • A classic musical that tugs all the heartstrings (From Sound of Music and Les Misérables to Spirited and Wicked, I’m your girl)

  • Decorating and redecorating our1940s bungalow (and pining away for that next perfect place on Zillow)

  • Getting happily lost in the aisles of IKEA (you never know what you need until you’re there)

  • Reading books that ignite my Christian imagination (currently loving G. K. Chesterton, Russ Ramsey, Wendell Berry, and Andrea Burke)

  • Red light, acupressure mats, weighted blankets, and whatever else helps me sleep (hello, mid-thirties)

  • Anything with fresh basil (especially Caprese salad and a good fresh pesto—I’ll eat both by the bucketful)

  • Attempting to keep my fiddle leaf, ficus, and other assorted plants alive (but mostly neglecting them)

  • Trying new recipes (and checking out a million brilliantly beautiful cookbooks from the library that largely go unused)

  • Camel-colored anything (wool coats, shackets, boots, velvet ribbon, leather bags, pottery—it all has a home here)

  • The smell of salty sea air (the result of spending my whole childhood as an island dweller)

  • Wandering the streets of a new city (but I’ll go back to New York and London annnny old time)

let’s be

friends.
